Maths Week 2023

In Second Class we had a very busy, fun and hands-on maths week. We counted Smarties and created a bar chart based on the colours, we made and played our own maths board games, we created sticker sums and played 5 in a row in pairs. We incorporated maths into our PE lessons and played with giant playing cards to find a matching pair. We finished the week off with fun maths stations, we used iPads to play our favourite Hit the Button game, we made 3D shapes with Play-Doh and cocktail sticks and we used lollipop sticks to make 2D shapes. Finally, we found out who our 2 lucky winners were for our maths week estimation challenge, they guessed the correct number of sweets in each tub to win the sweets! We worked hard and had lots of fun too!
