JEP 2019
This year, 5th and 6th class pupils are taking part in the Junior Entrepreneur Program (JEP). This program is for young entrepreneurs to come up with creative and unique ideas. We invited three dragons to judge the products and pick the best idea to work on for the next stages of the program. The Dragons consisted of Shane McGowan, Systems Director, C.B.E, Claremorris, Fiachra Groarke, Chairperson of our Board of Management, Chris Boyle, retired teacher and member of the Boar

Preparing our sales pitch
On the morning of Dragon's Den, the groups put the finishing touches to their presentations for the three Dragons. It was an exciting day and thank you to the three Dragons who generously gave up their time and gave all groups valuable feedback on their ideas. The pupils did a great job and should be very proud of themselves. Now that we have the chosen idea,we are looking forward to getting into business!

Internet Safety Day 2019
Today at school 5th and 6th class learned about internet safety. We watched some videos and talked about how to keep our social media accounts private. We learned what to do if a stranger talks to us online and asks for personal information. We were reminded to never give out any personal information such as your full name, address, phone numbers or school name. You should never give out your password to anyone.

A Winter Wonderland
We experienced the first snowfall of the winter last week. 5th and 6th class pupils were not afraid to brave the cold weather and have some fun outside. We wrapped up and off we went to get some exercise and fresh cold air into our lungs!

Fun in the snow!
Second and third class had lots of fun in the snow yesterday. They even made a little snowman!

How good is your sense of taste?
The children tested their sense of taste. They took part in a blindfolded experiment and successfully identified certain foods by taste alone. They tasted chocolate biscuits, cheese, raw carrots and bread.

St. Brigid's Day
Today we celebrated St. Brigid's Day. We learned all about St.Brigid. Some of the children used pipe cleaners to make these lovely colourful St. Brigid's Day crosses. Well done!
