Roald Dahl Day

To celebrate Roald Dahl Day on September 13th we chatted about our favourite books written by Roald Dahl. Lots of us happened to reading books by Roald Dahl as our library book that very day! Next we discussed the important role of an illustrator. We found out that Sir Quentin Saxby Blake was the illustrator of 18 of Roald Dahl's books. We looked at images of The BFG, Matilda, Willie Wonka, The Witches, George from George's Marvellous Medicine, the crocodile from The Enormous Crocodile and Fantastic Mr Fox. Next we took one half of Quentin Blake's illustration of each character and completed the other half in our own style. They looked marvellous!
