5th class - An Update!

Welcome back to our 5th class blog!

We are now in May, the year has gone so quick and there has been so many fun activities and events over the last few weeks.

We worked as a group to create a 'Bookflix' display for our classroom based on the idea of Netflix! We love reading in 5th class and we all got a chance to showcase what we are currently reading. We had great fun listening to each others book reviews and book summaries.

We also engaged in some paired reading with the Junior infants for a number of weeks which was really enjoyable!

During Seachtain na Gaeilge we took part in a school performance where we performed a ceili dance for the rest of the school! A big well done to the everyone on their excellent performace. We also enjoyed learning a slection of songs 'as Gaeilge' including 'Shotgun' by George Ezra.

We also took part in Tag Rugby classes on Mondays, it was very enjoyable trying a different sport and we are looking forward to participating in a blitz in the coming weeks.

During Active Week we had great fun particiapting in a range of different activtites organised by our Active Week committee, from table tennis to tug-o-war there was something that everybody could enjoy!

So thats all for now as we enter the final chapter of 5th class, the year is flying!
