Fresh vegetable soup

On Friday the 6th of October, Maureen came to visit the 4th, 5th and 6th class to make homemade vegetable soup. We used vegetables from our school garden. The 4th, 5th and 6th class helped prepare the soup. We enjoyed washing and chopping the vegetables, there was a lovely smell in our classroom. When the soup was cooking, Maureen talked to us about biodiversity (which we are doing for our next green flag). We also did fun activities on biodiversity and we learned a lot. When the soup was cooked, we all got a turn to stir it. We all got a small taste of the soup first and if we really liked it we could go up for more. There wasn’t a drop left, it was delicious and nutritious!

We hope she comes again!
